Built on Apple Watch + Apple Health
Membrane Health reads the signals your Apple Watch already measures and computes how coherently your systems are holding together under today's load. Your result — go, caution, or recover — locates today's state within a mathematical definition of health, calibrated to your own physiology.

Today's status
One warmed light holds today's reading and the areas carrying the greatest load, so within a few seconds you can see how much room your system has for the day ahead.
Today's reading
Your reading brings the measurement into daily life by showing the capacity available today, the areas carrying the greatest load, and the conditions that support effort, adaptation, and recovery.
Mode detection
Sleep, Stress, Recovery, Flow, and Nova describe different ways the whole system can organize itself within its current position. Your mode gives the day a physiological posture and helps place the reading within the larger movement of recovery, load, and available capacity. Meet the five modes →
Membrane Resilience
Membrane Resilience shows the room between today's position and the living boundary within which your system can continue to organize load, adapt to change, and recover.
Step up to Basic for your personal baselines, the four physiological systems, the underlying measurements, and the relationships through which they move together through time.
A living position
Your 28-day history calibrates the measurement to you, giving the reading the scale, context, and physiological history that make the position your own. The definition of health supplies the fixed structure within which that position can be located and followed.
As the days accumulate, your history deepens and your position moves while the definition continues to hold.

What it measures
Our bodies remain alive by preserving organization while conditions continually change. Boundary, stability, coherence, and recovery describe different aspects of that organization, and Membrane Health brings them together into a reading of where the system is today.
Why "membrane"?
A membrane gives a living system shape by holding an interior, meeting its surroundings, and regulating the exchange between them. Through that boundary, relationships can remain stable enough for the system to continue being itself while the world around it changes.
Our bodies carry this principle at every scale. Load moves through us, conditions change around us, recovery restores room, and living organization continually adjusts while preserving its continuity.
Membrane Health reads today's state within that living boundary and follows how your position changes through time. The distance to the edge becomes a measure of capacity: the room available to move, adapt, recover, and continue being yourself under changing load.
— the light you find by going in.
The surroundings
What's under the hood
Membrane Health begins with authorized measurements and carries them through explicit mathematics that has been machine-checked for the properties it claims*. Those measurements enter defined relationships, those relationships form structure, and that structure resolves into a physiological state whose position can be followed through time.
The definition gives that position its structure, your physiology gives it scale, and your history gives it context.
Formal verification establishes the integrity of the mathematics, while physiological validation establishes how the resulting measurements behave in people. Human testing continues as the measurement develops and its empirical history grows.

Real signals
Membrane Health brings together measurements your Apple Watch already records through Apple Health, including heart-rate variability, resting heart rate, recovery, VO₂ max, sleep stages, breathing rate, wrist temperature, blood oxygen, and movement.
Each signal keeps its own meaning while entering relationship with the others across autonomic, circadian, metabolic, and mechanical physiology. Your 28-day history gives those relationships a personal scale, allowing them to contribute to today's position within a formal definition of health.
Explicit math
Named and inspectable formulas carry your measurements into relationships such as recovery energy, tolerance bands, timing, reserve, capacity, and distance to boundary.
Because the path remains attached to the reading, the position can always be followed back through the relationships and measurements that formed it.
Formally proven
The formal core is carried end to end in proof. More than 15,000 theorems and lemmas establish the properties the mathematics claims, with the proof corpus open to inspection and independent verification.
Within that formal system, one of those results states that as strain is transformed into recovery, the health state rises. The proof belongs to the mathematics, and the physiological measurement gives that mathematics a place to meet the living body.

* Formally proven is not a statement of physiological truth or a disease diagnosis. What it does mean: the formal mathematical ontology remains stable, structured, auditable, and transparent — so what the mathematics establishes, and what it does not establish, can be inspected directly.
The five modes
Each reading resolves the whole system into one of five modes, allowing the position to carry not only a location but a recognizable physiological posture.
Flow and Nova emerge from the organization of the whole system, and their meaning comes from the relationships that make those states possible.
How it works
Membrane Health uses the measurements your Apple Watch already records through Apple Health. Once you grant access, those signals begin forming the first picture of your physiology and its recent history.
Your reading is live from the beginning, and each day adds more context. Across the rolling 28-day window, sleep, recovery, load, timing, and the movement of your normal physiology begin to form a deeper history, allowing the reading to become increasingly calibrated to you.
Each morning brings a clear reading — go, caution, or recover — together with the state, capacity, mode, and relationships that give the reading its shape.
Live now — with human testing continuing as the measurement develops and its empirical history grows.
Basic
Free gives you today’s reading at a glance. Basic opens that same measurement into the baselines, systems, signals, timing, and relationships that formed it, so the position becomes more legible without losing the simplicity of the daily read.
You can see your personal baselines, the four physiological systems, the underlying measurements, and the relationships through which they move together over time.

Basic is where the reading starts to explain itself.

Basic
"What's shaping today's state?"
Basic opens your baselines, systems, measurements, coherence, timing, phase, drift, recovery, stability, and capacity.
Pro
"How is my physiology changing through time?"
Pro follows the deeper trajectories beneath the daily reading, including the live instrument panel, 28-day analysis, professional sharing, phase-based physiology mapping, and Travel Planner.
A research-grade Pro+ tier — for clinicians, coaches, and power users — is on the way.
Pro Mode
Pro opens the movement beneath today's reading and gives that movement greater depth through trajectories, live instrumentation, and a shareable view of how capacity, timing, recovery, and whole-system relationships are changing.

The instrument panel follows membrane integrity, capacity, tolerance, and energy as they move. The four physiological systems remain visible within the larger whole, while the 28-day view shows how readiness, strain, recovery, and individual signals develop across time.
Pro also identifies the windows in which effort has the clearest room to land and provides a structured professional view of capacity, recovery, load, and trajectory when you choose to share it.
And four tools that come with Pro
A full report from your month of data — trends, outliers, and a clean PDF you can keep or send.
Hand your data to a clinician, coach, or trainer in a form they can actually read and act on.
A simple map of where you are in your body's cycle right now — and what it's ready for.

The daily reading remains simple while Pro opens the same measurement into greater depth.
One foundation, two scales
Available now, Membrane Health computes your whole-system state from the signals your Apple Watch already measures. The same mathematical foundation reaches a second scale — a research instrument that measures boundary response directly.
A controlled stimulus is delivered at an accessible boundary and the resulting response is witnessed across distributed measurement sites. The research program asks what those boundary responses can legitimately constrain about the larger physiological field, with measurement scope, provenance, and uncertainty kept explicit.
A preview of work still in research and development. The full research program lives on the company site —the platform at Fieldflux Biosystems →

Your data
Membrane Health is built on Apple Health and reads only the signals you authorize your Apple Watch to make available. Those measurements remain within the ecosystem you already control, while Membrane performs its reading through the permissions you choose to grant.
Read in place
We read the metrics your watch already stores in Apple Health, right where they live, and the reading happens there.
Kept private
Fieldflux does not sell your personal information, to anyone. Our business runs on subscriptions, so your data stays in your hands.
Consent-driven
Hand a 28-day snapshot to a clinician or coach and it carries no name, age, sex, or contact details — and self-destructs after three days. You choose what's shared, with whom, and for how long.
Your controls
Every permission lives in Apple Health, under your control. Grant it, narrow it, or revoke it whenever you like — the app reads only what you allow.
Membrane observes. You decide. A reading gives you a measured perspective on your physiology; how that information belongs in your experience and choices remains yours.
Your personal information remains yours, and Fieldflux does not sell it, to anyone. Sharing is yours to grant, and you decide what can be shared, with whom, and for how long. Every permission remains visible and controllable through Apple Health.
The whole picture lives in our Privacy Policy — plainly written, and honest about the one time your data moves: a share you choose to send.
Live now
Membrane Health is available now in the App Store. One whole-system reading from your Apple Watch brings today's load, capacity, mode, and recovery direction into a position you can follow through time.
